Cadet Clovis alias "Bouboul", a 38-year-old man was arrested by the police in the Nippes department, and was presented as a member of the "400 mawozo" gang which operates in Croix-des-Bouquets.

Clovis was wanted by the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) for money laundering, criminal association and illicit trafficking in firearms.

The "Mawozo", arrested in Miragoâne, had come to buy a house in a safe place for his mother, said Astrel Calixte, spokesperson for PNH in Nippes.

Also arrested by the PNH, Evens Louissaint alias "Sisenbè" (28 years old) and Frantzy Cinéas "Chibodi". They are identified as members of the 5 segonn gang led by Izo, in Village de Dieu.

The two were arrested with in their possession homemade weapons and several cartridges.

All are kept in custody for the necessary legal action, informs the officer Astrel Calixte, insisting that the PNH is more than determined to make the Nippes the reference department in terms of security.

The police institution launched several weeks ago a vast operation to track down bandits, several were apprehended by the police in Port-au-Prince and in the provincial towns. Not wanting to collaborate, others are stopped during exchanges of fire with the police.
